Our "pet" bird

I competely forgot to post this in December, so I thought I'd post it now. We had a bird living in our Christmas wreath for a few weeks this Christmas! One night, Andrew snuck out and got a few pictures of him sleeping in the wreath. It was fun to look for him everday, but he must of found a new home, because we haven't seen him for a few months now. In current news... Makenna rolled over for the first time a few weeks ago. I don't think she liked it too much because she hasn't done it since. Parker has been sick since Thursday with a really bad flu. Thankfully, he's getting better today, but I'm not excited to have to tell him that he won't be going to nursery this afternoon. He loves his nursery and even has a little friend there. Andrew is working for a new company called Icon Security and we are officially moving out to Seattle, WA for the summer so he can sell. Anyone who wants to come out and visit is more than welcome (hint, hint)(:

President Gordon B. Hinckley

Sadly, our beloved prophet, President Hinckley passed away tonight. Andrew and I were taken by surprise at the news. Although, a few weeks ago in our stake conference, Elder Holland spoke to us and in his talk he mentioned more than once that Pres. Hinckley was very sick. He said basically, "he's a very sick man, but he gets up everday and goes to work". What an amazing example of devotion and tireless service. He is the only prophet that I really remember. His loving words of guidance have lead me through my teen years and into my adulthood. He was aways sweet and funny and had such an endearing personality. I loved to hear him speak and bear his powerful testimony of Jesus Christ. I take joy in the knowledge that he has been joyfully reunited with his wife and has entered into the rest of the Lord. He truly is a prophet of God and a wonderful man. I will miss him dearly. I love you President Hinckley! Thank you!

Sledding and sunday best
I took Parker sledding with his cousins last weekend. He liked playing in the snow, but wanted nothing to do with the sled. I coaxed him into going down a small hill twice and that was enough for him.

Here Parker is with grandma Trudy

This afternoon, both of the kids looked so cute in their Sunday clothes that I got them together for a litte photo session. Parker decided to do his "silly smile" which involved a whole lot of squinting for most of the pics, but I did get this really cute one.

Parker really does just adore his little sister. She lucky to have such a sweet big brother!

Makenna's 4 month pictures
Not much time for a post, but I wanted to show you all some pictures that I took of Makenna today. She will be 4 months old this Saturday!

Yesterday Parker picked up the book about my mom and started looking through the pages. I thought it was such a sweet thing to do. I snapped the picture then had myself a little cry. How I wish I could have watched my mom be a gramdmother longer.

I am back after a little Christmas break. Andrew and I decided (or should I say, I decided) that we were going to spend the break working on the kid's rooms. We worked hard and now both the rooms are looking really cute. Today, while we were at a craft store looking for stuff for Parker's room. Parker thought it was funny to run off a few times. I told him that if he didn't stop he was on his way to time out. After that, he said, "mommy, I want to go to time-out please!" So, I guess it's going to take some time before he appreciates the work Andrew and I put into his room. I will post pics when we get them all finished in the next few days. Here are some of our Christmas pictures. Parker had a great Christmas and it was so fun this year because he actually knew what was going on. He kept telling that Santa was going to come and bring him presents "in the living room". He and Makenna were so spoiled by our families! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too! Oh yes, and yesterday Makenna laughed for the 1st time. Well, the first time that Andrew and I heard. My grandma and Jamie heard her giggle when they were in the elevator with her a few weeks ago. Andrew was throwing Parker up in the air and I was holding Makenna as she was watching. Out of the blue, she laughed this adorable belly laugh. This continued every time that she saw Parker get thrown. It was a priceless family moment!
