Vegas Trip

So I finally found and charged my camera and here are some pictures of our trip to Las Vegas.

The kids with my grandparents. Of course the one picture that Parker is smiling in, Makenna is looking away so you can't see her face. I love my grandparents! They are always so good to me and so, so good to my kids! Parker can't get enough of grandma Tate!





Makenna was being such a ham tonight at my dad's house! I just had to snap some pics because she was being so stinkin' adorable! My kids are so cute I can hardly stand it! Oh and Parker can say his ABC's and recognize his letters! My little smarty pants!

Parker LOVES pickles! He will eat 4 or 5 in one sitting! Andrew and I joke that he is our little vegetarian because he loves almost all veggies and we have a hard time getting him to eat any meat.

Just a few...

recent pictures of Andrew and our baby girl. She sure does love her daddy! The other afternoon Andrew came home from school and when Makenna saw him she went nuts. Her face lit up and she literally started screaming with delight! Of course Andrew couldn't stop smiling. It was so sweet to watch! One of those moments that melts your heart.


Just an explanation that these pictures aren't of when Andrew came home from school. Andrew just likes to balance Makenna on his hand A LOT! I'm not sure if he's training her for some kind of future as a tight rope walker or what? No he's never dropped her and yes it still does scare me.

Apparently I'm color challenged...

because I have taken a thorough beating from all of my friends and family on the naming the colors quiz.(: I will be studying Parker's crayons for a while before I take that quiz again! Andrew and I went to Vegas this last weekend for our anniversary getaway. We decided that it's not a really fun place for exhuasted, mormon parents to go for obvious reasons. We also decided that we aren't going to anymore timeshare presentations. We usually go to one on trips because you can get a lot of free stuff. This trip (after 4 hours) we realized that the wasted time just isn't worth the freebies. Andrew went on a crazy scary ride at the top of the Stratosphere that I would never go on and we got to see some pretty cool water shows in front of the Belagio and that was about it. Is was nice to sleep in and eat warm food, though. I am so incredibley grateful to my mother in law, stepmother, and Jamie for watching the kids so that we could get away. The camera is dead, so I will try to load the pictures tomorrow but it's much too late for me tonight.

6 Years Together

This last Sunday Andrew and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. As I looked through our wedding pictures I kept thinking, "we look so young!" It's hard to believe all the changes that have gone on in our family the last six years. We have been so blessed! Of course the most wonderful blessings we have been given are our precious children. I am so thankful for my little family! It sounds so cliche, but Andrew is truly my best friend. I couldn't ask for a better companion or a better father to our children. I love him and I'm so glad that we have each other forever!

1. What was I doing 10 years ago.
Hmmm...I was almost 17 so I was probably practicing my voice lessons like crazy to try to get into BYU's vocal performance program (I did). I'm sure that I had a crush on Andrew by then too!

2. 5 things on my to-do list today
Well, I've already done 2: practice my voice lessons and workout. Yay for me!
I still need to: do the laundry, unload the dishwasher, and take the kids for a walk. (In reality, I may actually get one of those done)

3. What snacks do I enjoy?
-Oreo cookies (I often enjoy those way too much!)
-Apples
-String cheese

4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
Donate lots of money to the melanoma foundation to help find a cure. Pay off all of our debt and our families debt. Donate money to my mom's scholarship. Gosh, I don't really know. Just do as much good as I could.

5. 3 bad habits?
-Staying up too late
-Leaving clean clothes in the dyer for days at a time before I get around to folding them
-Nagging Andrew

6.5 places I have lived?

7. 5 jobs I've had.
Waitress, life guard, office manager, wife, mother

8. 5 thing people don't know about me.
-We aren't having anymore kids. I don't think that my body or mind could take more than the two we have. That's not to say that I don't love my babies and am so grateful for them, though!
-I love to sing and I am taking voice lessons again after like 6 yrs!
-I'm afraid of ducks and geese because of a goose that used to chase me all the time at my babysitter's house when I was five.
-I have absolutley no sense of direction.
-I have never gotten a speeding ticket.
