Finally! (Thanks Malinda!) I was beginning to feel a little left out. (: I know, I'm a dork!

C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
1. What was I doing 10 years ago.
Hmmm...I was almost 17 so I was probably practicing my voice lessons like crazy to try to get into BYU's vocal performance program (I did). I'm sure that I had a crush on Andrew by then too!
2. 5 things on my to-do list today
Well, I've already done 2: practice my voice lessons and workout. Yay for me!
I still need to: do the laundry, unload the dishwasher, and take the kids for a walk. (In reality, I may actually get one of those done)
3. What snacks do I enjoy?
-Oreo cookies (I often enjoy those way too much!)
-Apples
-String cheese
4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
Donate lots of money to the melanoma foundation to help find a cure. Pay off all of our debt and our families debt. Donate money to my mom's scholarship. Gosh, I don't really know. Just do as much good as I could.
5. 3 bad habits?
-Staying up too late
-Leaving clean clothes in the dyer for days at a time before I get around to folding them
-Nagging Andrew
6.5 places I have lived?
Washington, California, New Jersey, Texas, Utah
7. 5 jobs I've had.
Waitress, life guard, office manager, wife, mother
8. 5 thing people don't know about me.
-We aren't having anymore kids. I don't think that my body or mind could take more than the two we have. That's not to say that I don't love my babies and am so grateful for them, though!
-I love to sing and I am taking voice lessons again after like 6 yrs!
-I'm afraid of ducks and geese because of a goose that used to chase me all the time at my babysitter's house when I was five.
-I have absolutley no sense of direction.
-I have never gotten a speeding ticket.
Now, I tag Tilleea, Jamie, Amber, Lauren, Reagan, & Janelle

Makenna is 5 months old!
My little princess is 5 months old now! I can't believe it! Yesterday she rolled from her back to her tummy and then from her tummy to her back! She is getting to be such a big girl. Her favorite toys are still her hands and she chews on them all day long. She doesn't have any teeth quite yet. She just loves to "talk" to anyone who will give her any attention and loves her big brother best of all. He entertains her a lot of the day and loves to snuggle with her on the floor. It's so sweet to see the bond that they already have with each other!

Parker the artist
He finally did it. Parker drew on the wall with a crayon. Actually, not so much on the wall as Makenna's dresser. I am always so good to put his crayons back away as soon as he is done coloring, but somehow Parker found a rogue crayon and that was it. He was really quiet for a few minutes and so I called for him to come out to our living room to see me. He came running out, looking quite guilty, with the crayon still in his hand. I put two and two together and asked him if he had drawn on the walls. His response was, "yep, I did." At least he was honest, right? When I went to asses the damage; initially it didn't look so bad. Just a few little scribbles on Makenna's wall. Then I noticed her dresser. He had gone to town on it! Behold Parker's masterpiece! (:

My parents anniversary

Today would have been my parent's 28th wedding anniversary. When I stop to think about all the things they went through and how they stuck together and kept loving and supporting each other, I'm amazed. I will never forget watching my mom reach out for my dad's hand the last 2 days before she died. Even though she could no longer speak, she still showed my dad how much she loved him and needed him with that one simple gesture. And my dad was always there to hold her and comfort her. They faced their last earthly trial together, hand in hand. The same way they had faced every other trial that had come their way in the last 26 years. As the years roll on, I've come to acccept that my memories of my mother will fade, but I know that this one memory never will.

Opera anyone?...
If I had a dime for all the times past neighbors, friends, etc... asked me, "are you still singing?" I'd be rich. It always reminded me that I should be singing, but I have always had excuses (by the names of Parker and Makenna). But, when I got an email from the director of an opera company that I used to sing with saying that they were starting a new show, I decided to take the plunge. Actually, I almost backed out, but Andrew made me go to the first rehearsal. (Thanks honey!) I'm just in the chorus, so I didn't have to commit much time and there was no pressure. Baby steps back into singing, I guess. Doing the show reminded me that I LOVE to sing! Something I think I forgot a few years back. I'm hoping to brush up on my skills and do some more shows with the opera as my kids permit. Now, when people ask me if I'm still singing, I can finally say, "yes!" A special thank you to my wonderfully supportive family members who watched the kids so that I could go to rehearsals and perfomances! We perform tomorrow night and the night after that and it should be a great show.
