Mommy Confessions #2

I just felt like it was time for another one.(:

1. My kids bite their nails! Both of them! They are one and three and they already have a bad habit! I have no idea where they got the idea from, but Parker started it all and of course Makenna has to do everything Parker does.

2. I have never made jello. I'm a little afraid to. I cook a lot, but for some reason, jello really intimidates me.

3. I let Parker watch a Saturday morning cartoon that is rated TVY7. I think that means you are supposed to be seven to watch it, but it's about dinosaurs. What am I going to do, it's his favorite show? It's also one of those dumb japanese animae shows where the words don't really match the mouth movements and their mouth pretty much take over their face anytime they open it. I can (and do) regualarly sing the theme song from the show (at Parker's request of course).

4. Makenna put her tootbrush in the dogs mouth. I did buy her a new one, but apparently I forgot to throw the old one away because I found her chewing on it yesterday.

5. You pretty much can't see the bottome of the backseat of my car. If we ever got stranded in the car we could live for weeks on the snack food scattered all over the backseat. Not days, weeks. Then when that ran out, we could just shake out the stuff in the carseats and make it a few more days. It's gross. I'm going in with the shopvac tomorrow.

Father's Day Krispie Kreme Deal

I was watching the news tonight and saw this and thought I would share it with everyone. I think we may be getting Krispie Kreme tomorrow morning.(:

Krispy Kreme is offering a fun promotion this weekend, for Father's Day. People can bring in an ugly tie from Dad and get a free dozen glazed doughnuts.

The ties may be redeemed through Sunday, June 21st. They will be displayed in the stores. Then, on Monday, June 22, staff members from each store will judge the ties they have received. The owner of the ugliest tie for each store will win free doughnuts for a year.

8 Years...

It's been 8 years today since I lost my sweet baby sister, Briana. I still think about her just about everyday. Time has dulled the pain, but I still miss her. She loved our family so much. I looked through a bunch of old pictures today and there she was. Always with a huge smile and almost always hugging someone. It's said that you love those who you serve. Because of her disablities, our family grew up serving my sister, and we all loved her so much more deeply because of it. I can't help but smile when I think about my mom and sister together with the Savior. I would have loved to have been able to catch a glimpse of that reunion. I know that when Briana came for my mother, she must have joyfully taken her hand. I can't even imagine what it will be like to see my sister again. So beautiful, so perfect, and so exalted. I am so grateful and proud to have her as a sister. Till we meet again, my angel sister, I love you!

Summer Fun

So far the kids are getting completley spoiled this summer. It's been fun now that the kids are old enough to really enjoy some of our outings.
Cousins!

Playing at "Jump On It". The kids LOVED it! It's also free for 3 and under and parents don't have to pay if you don't jump, so it was totally free. Can't beat that!

Of course, Auntie Jamie has to spoil the kids as much as she can!

And They Call It Puppy Love...

Yep, these two can't get enough of eachother. It's cute...and a little gross. I try to block out of my mind the germs that Makenna is getting exposed to.

Verbal

Parker as always been a pretty verbal kid but some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth just makes me laugh. Today he came out of the bathroom with a self-styled hairdo and asked me if he looked handsome. Then he said, "I used water and some gel as well." As well. Seriously. He's three and I think he speaks better than I do.

Parker wanted me to take this picture of him with "lamby".
